Why Sharpie?....
I happened to have some laying around and started doodling with them. The child in me compared it to coloring with magic markers, which is something I always loved to do as a child. So I suppose the answer is nostalgia.
How long have you been doing this?...
I've always played around with them, but just in the last couple of months have I been really creating.
How do you feel while creating this kind of art?...
Refreshed. Relaxed. In my world those two things are hard to come by. Its something I can do with my kids as well, no matter which age group they are in. That is a blessing in itself.
Would you compare it to a type of meditation or spiritual release of creative energy?...
Absolutely! I meditate before I do anything creative. I get a picture or a story in my mind, I visualize, and I put it on paper. I actually find it easier to communicate through art than I do talking.
How does it feel to have such a creative way to express yourself?...
I've never really given that much thought. It just seems normal to me. All forms of art intrigue me.

Would you recommend to other people the power of expressing yourself creatively?...
Yes! It is like therapy. I draw when I'm happy, sad, angry etc. When I complete something, I always feel better, whether it gets ripped up and tossed in the trash or framed and hung on the wall. Creative expression is similar to meditation. You focus all your thoughts on the project and put all of your emotion into it and your anxieties and feelings leave your body and get trapped in the art.
Will you continue to do this, or do you believe it is a fad for you?..
I think I will always do it to some degree. But I dabble in a lot of things so you may just see different creations in the future.
